Meet the team.
Our senior leaders and seasoned pros will always be involved with your business.
Tom Blazer
President and CEO
Once upon a time, in the not-so-faraway land of commercial real estate, Tom discovered a magic software program that had the power to change the way business decisions are made. It was the dawn of location intelligence―well, any kind of advanced computer programming, really―and the tool sets were enthralling. Tom was immediately smitten; addicted for years to discovering the newest platforms, snatching up mapping software like a kid in a candy store. Until one day, after decades in retail, real estate and business ownership, he decided to share his love of uncovering unexpected, data-driven solutions. And open eSite's doors. A true passion for mapping technology is, we admit, a bit unusual. But a company that grew out of that passion? We thank Tom for that.
Larry Manire
Chief Technology Officer
Larry’s as close to superhuman as we’ve seen. Really. He can map out political districts one day and analyze retail opportunities the next. Since his first computer programming project in 1965, Larry’s personally designed more than 120 data systems and custom mapping applications for…well, you name it. Real estate brokers. Retail chains. State governments. Banks. Auto dealers. Heck, he once even designed a volcanology database for the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. At eSite, his custom Maptitude-based tools take the guesswork out of important business decisions like site selection and market planning.
Armando Scalise
Director, South American Projects
As a kid, Armando wanted to be a polyglot: one of those multilingual geniuses who lives among people from all corners of the world. In a way, his peculiar dream came true. Only instead of becoming a translating voyager, he became fluent in the many languages of software code. And geographic information systems. And turning loads of data into results-getting solutions for worldwide entities ranging from the United Nations to some of America's leading retail networks. An Oceanographer by training, Armando's been hooked to location intelligence since his early days as a Fulbright Scholar and project manager in Argentina. Today, it’s with his powerful mapping tools at our side that eSite helps South American clients exceed business goals with an uncommon depth of insight. El habla español, too.
Stephen Jones
Director, Modeling Technology
Talk about someone who likes to rough it. Stephen's most memorable travel experience? A four-week exploration of the Rockies, armed with nothing more than a mountain bike and a tent. It's the sort of adventure in which Stephen thrives. Which, you could say, is what makes him a pro at turning raw data into roadmaps for business success. Since joining the eSite team in 2003, Stephen’s led the development of various analytical tools…and he's pedaled a number of mountains along the way. With more than ten years of experience in geographic information systems, spatial analytics and applied research, his know-how and can-do approach help our clients get the answers they need, fast.
Brendan Daunt
Director, Database Technology
Brendan’s a powerhouse for technological development. He started down the path of engineering more than 30 years ago, when he served as a U.S. Navy weapons officer. That 12-year experience led to head engineer positions, first at Orincon Defense and later at a large computer software development firm. At one time, he even created a software solutions firm of his own that was so successful another venture snatched it up within two years. Having Brendan as a member of the eSite team is a coup of sorts; he maintains eSite’s databases with the finesse of a true expert.
Morgan Herlocker
Software Architect
Morgan’s title belies all he does. But “Analyst and Project Manager Who Also Happens to Be a Skilled Developer” was a little long, so we stuck with the more concise “Software Architect.” Suffice it to say we’re lucky to have him on staff. Before joining eSite, Morgan built several game-changing systems for a large insurance company in less than two years. He's now using his programming skills to enhance eSite's custom toolsets. Unlike many software architects we know, he’s able to wear an analyst’s hat at the same time, using the very tools he creates to help clients assess market potential and make foolproof business decisions related to everything from site selection to marketing budgets.
Wayne Hegamyer
Vice President, Client Solutions
Wayne is more than a go-to contact for eSite’s clients. Yes, he does pay close attention to maintaining solid working relationships on a day-to-day basis. And for that, we love him. The real bonus with Wayne, though, comes from the 27 years he spent in manufacturing, marketing and sales management before joining the eSite team. The experience means he's become a pro at determining what'll make your business succeed. He has a knack for defining challenges. Explaining obstacles you may not see. Translating GIS speak into real-world language that makes it easy to envision various solutions. And he’ll be at your side from beginning to end.
Vikki Maggi
Vice President, Software Development & Analytics
There was a time when Vikki thought she’d be a veterinarian. Until she realized there are times when animals just can’t be saved. Businesses, on the other hand, can always find a path to salvation…as long as you know how to assess the problem. Which Vikki does. Before joining eSite, she helped guide real estate decisions as a demographic analyst for an international retail brand. So when she's managing projects―be it through software demonstrations, new tools testing or client consultations―she does it all with an inside perspective on what you need.
Jacki Renegar
Project Manager
Given more free time, Jacki would learn carpentry. She loves building things, solving problems and seeing the results of hard work. Actually, we wouldn't be at all surprised if she comes to the office one morning with a handcrafted desk chair for her office. Jacki’s just one of those people who seems to miraculously excel at everything she takes on. On the one hand, her years in economic, demographic and market research already made her a great fit when she joined the eSite team in early 2010. Then we learned about all the leadership positions she’s held, the certificates she’s earned and the community awards she’s received, and quickly realized she’s the kind of manager who'll take on any new challenge and see it to a positive end. Which is exactly what she does for eSite’s clients.
Tyler Mechem
Project Manager
Tyler’s a songwriter, guitarist and the lead vocalist of our favorite band, Crowfield. He’s also a heck of a project manager. Tyler purchased eSite’s software, installed it on his home computer and taught himself how to analyze location intelligence…for fun. (It must have something to do with his degree in management information systems). He started out looking for intel that would help the band build a fan base while touring and ended up discovering new ways to apply consumer data to all kinds of business needs. In 2010, Crowfield released an album with Universal Records. We like to think Tyler’s mastery of eSite Tools™ has had a little something to do with the band’s success, so we hired him to help our own clients get similar results.
Elizabeth Shevock
GIS Analyst
Elizabeth was eager to work at eSite long before we hired her, when she was getting to know our staff during a college internship. As soon as she graduated (at the top of her class, by the way), we brought her on board. As our newest analyst, Elizabeth pulls from her studies in statistics to efficiently analyze data, from her various leadership roles to connect with clients and, best of all, from her all-around great attitude to take on even the grittiest of tasks with contagious enthusiasm. Plus, she makes really great sandwiches, which comes in handy at lunchtime.
Elizabeth Pennewill
Executive Vice President
Elizabeth―we all know her as Boo―is a big reason eSite operates under a different kind of business model. She’s been here from the beginning, guiding the company’s culture and philosophy as it grew steadily from an entrepreneurial startup into a trusted partner of Fortune 500s. It all began when she said goodbye to a 15-year career in public and private sector development to help launch eSite. She wasn’t afraid of going against the grain then, and she certainly isn’t about to start now. Whether it’s yoga and strength training or client relationships and outreach, Boo doesn’t do what’s expected. She does what works.
Scott Love, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Wow, are we lucky to have Scott. In his prior life, he doubled the client roster at a lending firm, transformed a struggling lodging into one of Charleston, S.C.’s top five inns and spent ten days sailing the British Virgin Islands. (The last one has nothing to do with his economic skills, but does just as good a job at making us admire him). Now he keeps us all in line to make sure eSite maintains sound financial growth during a time of rapid expansion. A certified public accountant and member of the American Institute of CPAs, Scott works tirelessly to ensure eSite maximizes each and every client dime.
Pat Chappell
Vice President, Strategic Relationships
From the moment we met Pat we knew he was the right person to lead eSite’s sales efforts...and not just because of his striking background. Yes, Pat does have a remarkable track record for building long-lasting relationships with major national brands, and the fact that he grew his own consulting firm’s operations by more than 600 percent in 15 years definitely made an impression on us. But for all those accolades, it was Pat’s ability to make everyone around him, from coworkers to executives, feel at ease that convinced us he was a perfect fit for the eSite team. As vice president of strategic relationships, he's always on hand to answer questions a new prospect may have about our company, how we work and what you’ll gain by partnering with us. He’s also one of the most likable people we know. In fact, we won't be at all surprised if you add him to your speed dial list.
Laura Emerick
Director, Sales Support
Laura’s our Employee of the Decade. Literally. We presented her with the long-overdue award in 2010. Since signing on as eSite’s first employee, she’s handled everything from database construction to software installation to systems training. All with an infectious laugh. Maybe it was all those years she spent in front-office management; maybe it’s her passion for constant learning. Whatever the influence, Laura's combination of technological skill and easy-to-work-with persona is a big part of what keeps client projects on track.
Ryan Borey
Director, Information Technology
We got to know Ryan the day eSite's servers went a little berserk. He stopped by to take a look and then got them running smoothly in a matter of hours. We immediately went to work convincing him to join our full-time staff. He said "yes," and we all rejoiced. Ryan's our behind-the-scenes hero; a self-taught certified system administrator who keeps our analysts sane and our operations free of catastrophes. He's the guy who safeguards all the vital technology, from servers to backups to our active directory, that empowers eSite to sustain a steady flow of real-time, competitive business intelligence. The best part, as far as we're concerned, is that he has fun doing it. As long as something is "made of metal or plastic and beeps or lights up," he's drawn to it. Around here, that's definitely something to celebrate.
Tiffany Scoggin
Office Manager
Tiffany’s versatility has made her an indispensable part of eSite since she started working here in 2007. Since then, she’s completely redefined the traditional role of office manager, expertly taking on responsibilities related to everything from company operations to geocoding client data. Currently, Tiffany serves as human resources specialist, payroll manager and budget analyst all rolled into one. She’s more than just the glue that keeps eSite running smoothly; we're not sure where we’d be without her. Tiffany holds a B.A. in business administration and finance. Before joining eSite, she worked in real estate as a closing coordinator for a national homebuilding company.
Deborah Waymire
Receptionist
We met Deborah at our favorite local Mediterranean restaurant. She always made us feel like the most important customers in the room, which is exactly the reaction we want clients to have when they call or visit eSite’s offices. So we hired her away. We soon learned that her biggest career role model has always been her grandfather, an Austrian immigrant who took great pride in working the Pennsylvania coal mines for 40 years. As it turns out, that inspiration is what makes Deborah a treasure. Like Grandpa Mikel, she handles every aspect of office management with an air of serenity and dedication. Give us a call and you’ll see what we mean as soon as you hear her welcoming voice.
